About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across Key Stages 3-5, following exam specifications and incorporating diverse historical perspectives and methodologies. Plan and deliver lessons that foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and historical inquiry, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources, including primary source analysis and historiography. Assess student progress through research projects, essays, and written examinations, providing detailed feedback to support their development. Contribute to the development of the History curriculum, integrating current historical research and advanced concepts, and participate in departmental planning. Organize and lead historical societies, research projects, and extracurricular activities, promoting student engagement and historical inquiry. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong History subject knowledge, including diverse historical periods and methodologies. Demonstrated experience teaching History to A-Level, with a focus on both theoretical concepts and research skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate high-achieving students. Commitment to fostering historical inquiry and critical thinking.
