Job description
A nurturing Catholic School in Westminster is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. We are looking for an educator who can inspire a love of mathematics and foster problem-solving skills in our students. About Our Learning Community: Our Catholic School is committed to providing a well-rounded education that integrates faith values with academic excellence. We encourage students to develop critical thinking and a passion for lifelong learning. The Maths department is a supportive and collaborative team. About the Role: Deliver engaging Maths lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students. Develop and implement lesson plans that incorporate a variety of teaching strategies and resources. Facilitate problem-solving activities and encourage students to develop their mathematical fluency. Assess student progress through regular assessments, problem-solving tasks, and written examinations. Contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum and participate in departmental meetings. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Mathematics. Proven experience teaching Maths to Key Stage 3 and 4 students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to present complex mathematical concepts in an accessible manner. Commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic education.
