Job description
School Status & Location Sector: Prestigious Independent School (with Sixth Form). Borough: Brent (Inner London, England). Start Date: Permanent, part-time (0.5 FTE) role commencing January 2026. The Opportunity & School Profile This highly creative Independent School, which includes a Sixth Form, seeks an innovative Art Teacher for a key Permanent, Part-Time role. The school values visual creativity and critical analysis, seeking a specialist capable of driving high attainment across drawing, painting, and 3D media, particularly at the senior level. Core Responsibilities & Teaching Scope Visual Artist: Instructing Art across Key Stages 3, 4 (iGCSE), and Sixth Form (A-Level), proportionate to the teaching fraction. Portfolio Critic: Driving high attainment by guiding students through complex projects and cultivating sophisticated portfolio presentation skills. Gallery Guide: Organising trips to London galleries and supporting student exhibition work. Compensation & Benefits Essential Requirements: Relevant Degree in a Fine Art/Design discipline and extensive experience teaching Art to A-Level. Salary: Highly competitive salary compensated on the school's independent pay scale (pro-rata), reflecting Inner London weighting.
