Role Overview Position: Year 1 Teacher Start Date: April 2025 Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent About Our School Located in the diverse and dynamic area of Tower Hamlets, our school is dedicated to creating a nurturing and inspiring environment for children. We focus on developing a love of learning, encouraging curiosity, and building foundational skills in literacy and numeracy. Our dedicated staff work collaboratively to provide an engaging curriculum that meets the needs of all learners. Your Responsibilities As our new Year 1 Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that support the transition from EYFS to Key Stage 1. Create a warm and inclusive classroom atmosphere where every child feels valued and encouraged to participate. Develop early reading, writing, and numeracy skills through effective and creative teaching strategies. Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support to help every child thrive. Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers to foster a supportive learning community. Collaborate with the KS1 team to enhance teaching practices and share resources. What We’re Looking For A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent). Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly in a Year 1 setting. A strong understanding of early childhood development and phonics teaching. A creative and engaging teaching style that excites and motivates young learners.
