About the Role: As a Computer Science ECT, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging Computer Science lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially A-Level, covering topics such as programming, algorithms, data structures, and computer architecture. You will develop and adapt resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students, promoting critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. You will assess student progress through coding projects, presentations, and written examinations, providing timely and constructive feedback. You will also participate in the school’s comprehensive ECT program, which includes regular mentor meetings, professional development workshops, and opportunities to collaborate with experienced faculty. Ideal Candidate: You should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Computer Science or a related field, with a strong understanding of programming principles, algorithms, and computer systems. A passion for computer science and a desire to inspire students are essential. Excellent communication and organizational skills are crucial, as is the ability to create engaging and stimulating learning experiences. You should also possess a commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to learn from experienced colleagues. Proficiency in multiple programming languages and experience with robotics or virtual reality technologies is highly desirable.
