Registered Veterinary Nurse – 24-Hour Emergency & Referral Hospital Location: Richmond upon Thames, Greater London Contract: Permanent Hours: Full time The Vet Office is working with a 24-hour emergency and referral veterinary hospital in Richmond upon Thames, Greater London, to recruit a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their busy and highly skilled clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospital environment and is motivated by delivering high standards of patient and client care. The hospital manages a diverse caseload ranging from routine nursing procedures to complex emergency and critical cases, offering strong clinical exposure and development opportunities. The Role The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care across all areas of the hospital, working closely with experienced veterinary surgeons and fellow nurses. The role offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to further develop clinical and professional skills within a supportive and collaborative team. This position is full time and based within a 24-hour hospital setting. Shift patterns will include a fair rota of out-of-hours and weekends. Key Responsibilities Deliver high standards of nursing care across wards, consults, theatre and emergency cases Support nurse-led clinics and Schedule 3 activities Monitor patients, manage admissions and discharges Assist with diagnostic procedures, surgeries and emergency treatments Communicate clearly and professionally with clients Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team About the Candidate RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse Confident and adaptable, with the ability to work in a busy hospital environment Strong commitment to patient welfare and client care Team-focused with a professional and proactive approach Keen to continue developing skills, particularly in emergency and critical care Whats On Offer Competitive salary, dependent on experience 5 weeks annual leave plus Bank Holidays, increasing with length of service Additional paid wellbeing day CPD allowance with paid CPD leave Funded certificates and clear career progression pathways RCVS and professional fees covered Comprehensive wellbeing and employee support benefits How to Apply Registered Veterinary Nurses interested in this opportunity are invited to send their CV to: info@thevetoffice.com
