Job description
We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Science ECT to join a high-achieving secondary school in Slough, Berkshire . This is a full-time, permanent position starting January 2026 , offering an excellent opportunity for an early career teacher eager to inspire curiosity and academic success in Science. • Science ECT • High-Achieving Secondary School in Slough, Berkshire • Full-time, permanent position • Science ECT role starting January 2026 School Information This Slough school is well known for its strong academic outcomes, modern facilities, and inclusive ethos . The Science Department is dynamic and well-resourced, featuring state-of-the-art laboratories and a highly experienced team of teachers and technicians. The school places a strong emphasis on practical learning, encouraging students to explore scientific principles through hands-on experiments and independent investigation. Role Information You will teach Science across KS3–KS4, with the opportunity to specialise at KS5 as your experience grows. The school provides excellent ECT support, including a dedicated mentor, weekly coaching, and tailored CPD sessions designed to build confidence and classroom practice. Experience and Qualifications • Degree in Science or a related subject • PGCE and QTS (or pending award) • Passionate about science education and developing young minds • Strong organisational and communication skills Salary Paid to scale on MPS Application This Science ECT role offers a fantastic opportunity to begin your teaching career in a supportive and ambitious Slough school.
