Job description
A popular and well-respected 11–18 school in Shrewsbury is looking to appoint a passionate Teacher of English (ECT) from January 2026. With a Good Ofsted rating and a reputation for exceptional student behaviour, the school is an ideal place for Early Career Teachers to develop their skills in a supportive and professional environment. The Role You’ll teach English across KS3–KS4, with opportunities to support Sixth Form teaching as your confidence grows. The department uses well-planned schemes of learning that blend literature and language, with an emphasis on critical thinking, creativity and communication. ECT Support & Induction The school has a proven track record of nurturing ECTs into confident and skilled teachers.
