Job description
Reception Teacher – Prep School, Oxford Location: Oxford Contract: Part-Time, Fixed Term (3 days/week) Start Date: February 2026 Salary: Dependent on experience About the School This warm and nurturing prep school in Oxford is committed to early years education of the highest standard . About the Role The school is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Reception Teacher for a maternity cover position . You will provide high-quality, play-based and structured learning experiences that build children’s confidence, independence, and foundational skills. Key Responsibilities: Planning and delivering engaging EYFS lessons tailored to individual needs Supporting children’s development in literacy, numeracy, social, and emotional skills Maintaining accurate records and tracking progress Creating a stimulating and safe learning environment Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and support staff to enhance learning Contributing to school events, enrichment activities, and school-wide initiatives Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, patient, and nurturing , with a strong understanding of early years pedagogy. You should be able to inspire children through creative learning and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues and families.
