Job description
Geography Teacher required January 2026 Mixed secondary school based in Colchester Geography Teacher to join a dynamic and forward-thinking Humanities faculty Our Client is seeking a Geography Teacher to deliver KS3 and KS4 Geography within an academically ambitious secondary school in Colchester. The successful candidate will teach across physical and human geography, contribute to fieldwork provision and support curriculum development within a collaborative Humanities team. School Information This 11–18 school serves approximately 1,350 students and is well known for its strong academic outcomes and structured learning environment. The Geography department benefits from specialist teaching rooms, GIS software, digital mapping resources and an established programme of local and residential fieldwork. Students demonstrate high levels of engagement and curiosity within the subject. Teachers describe the school as inclusive, well-led and professionally ambitious. Leadership invests in staff development through targeted CPD, collaborative planning and subject-specific training. Behaviour expectations are clear and consistently upheld, allowing staff to focus on high-quality teaching and learning.
