Job description
We are working with a well-maintained primary school in Ealing to appoint a dedicated and proactive Site Manager. This is a full-time role starting in April, initially on a temporary-to-permanent basis, for a professional who takes genuine pride in creating a safe and inspiring environment for young learners. About the School This is a popular and friendly primary school set in spacious grounds. The school has recently undergone several facility upgrades and prides itself on its modern, clean, and welcoming campus. The leadership team is incredibly supportive of the premises staff, viewing the Site Manager as a key figure in the school’s daily success and the long-term strategic planning of the estate. It is a tranquil yet busy professional environment where every staff member is valued. The school is looking for someone who isn't just a "fixer," but a reliable presence who cares about the physical heart of the school community. The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for the security, maintenance, and overall health and safety of the school site. Key duties include managing cleaning staff, performing minor DIY repairs, and coordinating external contractors for larger projects. You will oversee the premises budget, ensure COSHH and fire safety compliance, and maintain the school's grounds to a high standard. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to manage a varied workload, from daily safety checks to long-term renovation schedules during the holidays. Requirements Proven experience in site management, caretaking, or a skilled trade. Knowledge of health and safety legislation and premises compliance. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. A proactive "can-do" attitude and excellent communication skills. Salary £32,000 – £38,000 per annum (Depending on experience).
