Job description
A thriving and inclusive 11–18 secondary school in Derby is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Drama to join its vibrant Performing Arts faculty from January 2026 . About the Role You’ll teach Drama across KS3–KS5, working with a dynamic team that celebrates creativity, collaboration and confidence-building. The department runs popular GCSE and A-Level Drama courses, alongside a full extracurricular calendar of productions, showcases and workshops. The role offers the opportunity to direct performances and support school-wide arts events, including partnerships with local theatres and community projects. The School This Good-rated comprehensive school has built a strong reputation for its creative subjects and student engagement. Facilities include a purpose-built studio theatre, drama classrooms with lighting rigs, and access to costume and prop stores. Students are encouraged to take creative risks and develop teamwork skills that enhance their wider learning. You’ll Bring QTS or equivalent qualification in Drama or Performing Arts. Experience teaching GCSE and/or A-Level Drama. A genuine enthusiasm for performance and creativity. Excellent communication and organisation skills. Why This Role?
