Job description
English Teacher required January 2026 Good mixed school based in Chelmsford English Teacher to join a well-established, ambitious and collaborative English faculty Our Client is seeking an English Teacher to teach KS3–KS4 English within a high-performing secondary school in Chelmsford. The successful candidate will contribute to curriculum planning, reading initiatives, literacy interventions and enrichment opportunities such as debating clubs and writing competitions. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys delivering a varied, creative and structured English curriculum. School Information This 11–18 comprehensive educates around 1,350 pupils and has a strong academic reputation, with English outcomes consistently above national averages for both attainment and progress. Classrooms are equipped with digital learning tools, interactive software and a well-resourced library that supports independent reading and extended writing. The school places a strong emphasis on literacy development across all subjects, and the English department plays a central role in whole-school academic strategy.
