Job description
An ambitious and creative secondary school in Salisbury is seeking a dedicated Art Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position, ideal for a teacher who is passionate about inspiring students through creativity, developing artistic skills, and contributing to the cultural life of the school. Key Details • Full-time, permanent Art Teacher role starting January 2026 • Secondary school in Salisbury with a reputation for strong arts provision • Teach across KS3–KS5, including exam preparation at GCSE and A-Level • Join a collaborative and well-resourced Art department Experience and Qualifications • Qualified Art Teacher with QTS (PGCE or equivalent) • Ability to deliver engaging Art lessons across a range of media, including fine art, photography, textiles, and digital art • Proven ability to inspire creativity and encourage students to develop their portfolios • Commitment to enrichment opportunities such as art clubs, trips, and student showcases • Excellent organisational, communication, and classroom management skills • Team player with the ability to contribute to departmental planning and development • Legal right to work in the UK School Information • Ofsted Good with strengths in both academic and creative subjects • Excellent Art facilities including modern studios, digital suites, and gallery space • Strong culture of creativity with regular student exhibitions and participation in national competitions • Supportive leadership team prioritising teacher wellbeing, CPD, and professional growth • Engaged students who value the Arts and thrive in an inspiring learning environment • Links with local galleries and creative organisations, enriching the Art curriculum Salary • Paid to scale on MPS/UPS Application • To be considered for this Art Teacher role, please forward an updated CV as soon as possible.
