Are you an accomplished Music specialist ready to lead a vibrant and ambitious department within a prestigious independent school? This could be an exceptional opportunity to shape the musical life of a thriving school community. • Respected independent school based in Basingstoke • Head of Music to lead and develop a dynamic Music department • Full-time leadership role | April start Our client is seeking an inspirational and experienced Head of Music to join an established independent school in Basingstoke from April. This is a full-time leadership position, ideal for a talented Music practitioner with a strong track record of academic success and extracurricular excellence. The successful candidate will lead the strategic development of Music across KS3 & KS4, with strong KS5 provision. You will oversee curriculum planning, performance opportunities, ensembles, and whole-school musical events. In addition to maintaining high academic standards, you will play a central role in concerts, productions, choirs, and instrumental programmes. The department benefits from dedicated rehearsal spaces, performance facilities, and access to a wide range of instruments and music technology. Leadership within the school is highly supportive and values creativity, performance, and professional development.
