Job description
We are currently seeking a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and flexible Science Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school in Bristol on a part-time, permanent basis (0.6–0.8 FTE). The position begins January 2026 and offers an excellent opportunity for a strong practitioner seeking reduced hours in a supportive and academically focused environment. About the Science Department • Modern, fully equipped laboratories • Experienced technicians • A strong KS3–KS4 curriculum • Collaborative planning and shared resources • Opportunities to contribute to STEM activities, clubs and enrichment About the Role • Teaching Science across KS3–KS4 • Delivering high-quality lessons with practical elements • Supporting assessments, marking and curriculum development • Maintaining high expectations for progress and behaviour • Contributing to the department and wider school community • Flexible timetable depending on availability and experience Experience and Qualifications • Degree in Science • PGCE with QTS • Ability to teach across KS3–KS4 • Strong communication and organisation Salary Paid to scale – MPS/UPS (pro rata).
