Job description
Full-time, Permanent - April 2025 Start Are you a passionate and inspiring Teacher of Science with a specialism in Chemistry ? Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join our high-achieving Science department in a secondary school in Richmond. We are committed to providing a high-quality education that prepares our students for success. We have a strong focus on STEM subjects and offer a wide range of enrichment opportunities in Science. About the Science Department: The Science department is a collaborative and supportive team with a shared passion for igniting a love of science in our students. We foster a culture of inquiry and encourage students to develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. About the Role: Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on Chemistry at Key Stage 4 and potentially A Level. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons. Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources. Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback. Contribute to the department's curriculum development. Share your passion for Chemistry with students. Work collaboratively with colleagues. Participate in professional development opportunities. Ideal Candidate: Holds QTS or equivalent. Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Science, with a specialism in Chemistry. Demonstrates a passion for teaching Science. Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive learning environment.
