Job description
A Supportive and Warm School Seeking a Passionate KS1 Teacher An inclusive and friendly one-form entry primary school in Harrow is looking for a part-time Year 1 teacher to join their team three days per week from April 2025 . This fixed-term role offers a great work-life balance while allowing you to make a significant impact in a welcoming and well-supported setting. What Makes This School Special? Your Role and Responsibilities Deliver engaging, play-based lessons tailored to meet the needs of Year 1 pupils. Implement effective phonics instruction , supporting early reading and writing development. Differentiate lessons to support learners of all abilities , including EAL and SEN children. Create a positive and structured classroom environment where children feel safe and encouraged to explore. Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENDCo, and subject leads to enhance learning. Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and provide feedback to parents. Ideal Candidate Profile QTS and experience in KS1 teaching , ideally in Year 1. Strong understanding of phonics schemes such as Letters and Sounds or Jolly Phonics . A commitment to child-centred, creative teaching approaches .
