Job description
Are you a dedicated and experienced SENCo looking for a part-time role in a school that prioritises inclusive education ? Our welcoming and diverse school in Brent is seeking a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to join us from September 2025 . This is a part-time, permanent position , offering a fantastic opportunity to lead and shape the school’s SEND provision while maintaining a healthy work-life balance . Why Join Our School? Your Responsibilities as SENCo: Lead, coordinate, and develop the SEND provision across the school . Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, parents, and external specialists to create tailored learning plans for students with additional needs. Oversee the assessment, planning, and implementation of EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans) . Support teachers in differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners . Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices for SEND inclusion . Monitor the progress and well-being of pupils with SEND, ensuring they receive the necessary interventions. Liaise with local authorities and outside agencies to secure additional support when needed. What We’re Looking For: SENCo qualification (or willingness to work towards it). A qualified teacher (QTS) with experience supporting pupils with SEND in primary education . A deep understanding of EHCPs, intervention strategies, and SEND policies . Excellent communication and leadership skills , with the ability to work collaboratively. A passion for inclusive education and creating equal opportunities for all students .
