Job description
Are you an inspiring Year 2 Teacher seeking a fresh, stimulating Full-Time Year 2 Teacher role from January 2026 ? A thriving Outstanding primary in Bristol is looking for a reflective and energetic Year 2 Teacher to start January 2026 and to join a collaborative Key Stage 1 team committed to high standards and rich, enquiry-led learning. The school’s ethos combines academic rigour with creative exploration. The Year 2 Teacher will be responsible for planning sequences that build on early literacy and number fluency while embedding vocabulary development, problem solving and confidence. The Year 2 Teacher appointed will begin induction in the weeks leading to January 2026 , attend CPD sessions in early January 2026 , and take up the class from January 2026 . What you’ll do as a Year 2 Teacher : you will design structured, engaging lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners; run daily phonics and guided reading as a Year 2 Teacher ; track progress and plan targeted interventions as the Year 2 Teacher ; and communicate effectively with families as the Year 2 Teacher . You will contribute to curriculum development and collaborate closely with the Reception team to ensure smooth transitions around January 2026 . (Year 2 Teacher) Requirements QTS and strong KS1 experience as a Year 2 Teacher . Clear classroom routines and an ability to accelerate progress as a Year 2 Teacher . Experience with phonics, early maths mastery, and formative assessment as a Year 2 Teacher . Why this Year 2 Teacher post?
