Are you an inspiring and visionary Head of Maths seeking a leadership role within an outstanding independent school in Nottingham? This is a superb opportunity for an experienced and passionate Head of Maths to lead and further develop a successful Mathematics department within a respected independent school in Nottingham, commencing in April 2026 . About the Role Role: Head of Maths Start Date: April 2026 Contract: Full-time, Permanent Location: Nottingham Key Stages: KS3–KS5 Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience The successful candidate will provide academic and strategic leadership for Mathematics, delivering a challenging, engaging, and coherent curriculum that supports high levels of attainment and confidence for all learners. They will play a key role in driving standards, inspiring staff, and embedding a culture of excellence within the department. Key Responsibilities Lead the strategic development and day-to-day management of the Maths department. Deliver high-quality Maths teaching across KS3–KS5, including GCSE and A-Level. Support and mentor departmental colleagues, promoting professional development and collaboration. Track and analyse student progress, using data to inform teaching and intervention strategies. Champion mathematical enrichment through clubs, competitions, and wider school initiatives. Contribute positively to the wider academic, pastoral, and co-curricular life of the school.
