SEN HLTA – Vibrant SEN School – Redbridge – ASAP Start 📍 Location: Redbridge 📅 Start Date: ASAP 📄 Contract: Full-Time, Permanent 💰 Salary: Dependent on Experience Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) ? A vibrant and inclusive SEN school in Redbridge is looking for a dedicated SEN HLTA to join their committed team ASAP . Your Role as SEN HLTA: 🔹 Support teachers in planning and delivering lessons tailored to the needs of SEN students. 🔹 Lead small group interventions and 1:1 support sessions to enhance student progress. 🔹 Assist in developing individual learning plans (ILPs) and adapting resources to meet diverse learning needs. 🔹 Provide behavioural and emotional support , ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment. 🔹 Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to support student development. 🔹 Help with assessments and progress tracking , providing valuable insights to the teaching team. 🔹 Support students with communication, sensory, and social needs , using strategies such as PECS, Makaton, or AAC where appropriate. Who We’re Looking For: ✅ HLTA qualification or significant experience working in an SEN setting . ✅ Strong understanding of SEND strategies , including working with students with ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or complex needs. ✅ Experience leading small groups and delivering interventions . ✅ A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting students with diverse needs. ✅ Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. ✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
