Job description
A well-established independent school in Wandsworth is seeking a meticulous and highly organised Exams Officer to join their administration team ASAP . This is a full-time, permanent role overseeing the smooth delivery of internal and external examinations. • Exams Officer – full-time, permanent • Independent 11–18 school in Wandsworth • ASAP start • Competitive independent sector salary About the Role The Exams Officer will take responsibility for the planning, coordination, and administration of all public and internal examinations, ensuring full compliance with JCQ regulations and awarding body requirements. Key responsibilities include: • Managing GCSE and A Level examination entries • Liaising with awarding bodies and examination boards • Organising examination timetables, rooms, and invigilators • Ensuring compliance with JCQ and regulatory guidance • Managing results days and post-results services • Maintaining accurate and confidential student records This is a pivotal role within the school, requiring precision, discretion, and excellent organisational skills. The Ideal Candidate • Previous experience as an Exams Officer or in school administration • Strong understanding of examination regulations and compliance • Excellent organisational and time management skills • High level of accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure • Professional and discreet approach Experience in the independent sector is desirable but not essential.
