Job description
We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and academically strong Science ECT to join an Outstanding secondary school in Watford from January . This is an excellent opportunity for a Newly Qualified Teacher to begin their career in a supportive, high-performing and well-resourced Science department. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3–KS4 , with opportunities to develop towards KS5 teaching as confidence and experience grow. You will be supported through a structured ECT induction programme, including reduced timetable, dedicated mentoring and regular CPD. The Science department benefits from modern laboratories, excellent technician support and a collaborative team culture. ECTs are supported through clear systems, regular mentoring meetings and access to outstanding classroom practice. Experience and Qualifications Degree in Biology, Chemistry or Physics PGCE with QTS Training to teach Science at KS3–KS4 Strong understanding of practical science and laboratory safety Commitment to developing as a reflective and effective practitioner Salary Paid to scale at MPS1 .
