Job description
ECT: RE Teacher – Launch Your Career with a Rigorous, Structured Induction Programme – Newham An ambitious and structured secondary school in Newham requires an enthusiastic ECT of Religious Studies Year 1 or 2) committed to driving academic rigour from January 2026. ECT: RE Teacher required from January 2026 Newham-based school with an emphasis on rigorous philosophical debate. Ideal for a graduate seeking intensive mentoring and a focus on deep ethical and philosophical understanding. You will teach RE across KS3 and GCSE with a reduced timetable and a dedicated mentor. The induction is highly structured , focusing on mastering the delivery of rigorous philosophical and ethical concepts, using the department’s shared resources to ensure consistency and excellence. Experience and Qualifications QTS or completing final training in Religious Studies, Philosophy, or Theology . High commitment to promoting rigorous academic discussion and critical thinking. Willingness to fully engage with the school's structured weekly coaching cycle. Excellent potential for engaging and consistent instruction. School Information The Humanities department is extremely collaborative , with planning and assessment materials created centrally, significantly reducing individual workload.
