Job description
A co-educational independent senior school in Islington, Central London, committed to innovative teaching and academic rigour, seeks an enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher starting January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach highly motivated students in small class settings and inspire a lifelong appreciation for mathematical problem-solving. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, engaging Mathematics lessons across all Key Stages, including successful preparation for Oxbridge and Russell Group entrance examinations. Commit fully to fostering deep conceptual understanding and promoting a love of mathematical problem-solving among high-ability pupils. Actively engage in the school's academic enrichment programme, potentially running Maths clinics or competitions. Design and implement tailored academic support and extension activities as a dedicated Mathematics Teacher. Uphold the high standards of academic discipline and focus that define the school community. Requirements A degree in Mathematics (or a closely related field) and proven teaching experience (QTS desirable but not essential). Demonstrated ability to teach the subject to a high standard across the 11-18 age range. Seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher who thrives on academic rigour and intellectual curiosity. The successful Mathematics Teacher must demonstrate an enthusiastic approach to developing pupils' potential beyond the curriculum.
