Job description
Are you a practical and organised individual with a passion for supporting creative and technical learning? This could be an excellent opportunity to join a brilliant secondary school where Design & Technology plays a key role in the curriculum. • Brilliant secondary school based in Taunton • DT Technician to support a well-equipped and dynamic Design & Technology department • Full-time position | ASAP start Our client is seeking a reliable and hands-on DT Technician to join a thriving school in Taunton with an ASAP start. This is a key support role within the DT faculty, ensuring workshops and practical lessons run smoothly and safely. The successful DT Technician will prepare materials and equipment for lessons, maintain machinery and tools, manage stock and resources, and ensure health & safety compliance within workshops. You will support areas such as Resistant Materials, Product Design, and Engineering, working closely with teaching staff and the Head of Department. This role would suit someone with strong practical skills, good attention to detail, and confidence working within a workshop environment. School Information This brilliant secondary school is known for its positive ethos, strong academic progress, and commitment to delivering a broad and engaging curriculum. The DT department is well resourced and highly valued within the school. Staff benefit from supportive leadership and a collaborative working culture where support staff play a vital role in student success.
