The Media Department boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including editing suites, film production equipment, and industry-standard software. Why This Opportunity is Ideal for an ECT Specialist ECT Support: Comprehensive training and mentoring tailored to Media Studies. Creative & Practical Learning: Teach film, journalism, and digital production using industry-standard tools. Highly Engaging Curriculum: Opportunities to work on live projects, podcasts, and short films. Exciting Extracurricular Activities: Contribute to media clubs, film festivals, and student-led news outlets. Your Role as a Media ECT Plan and deliver engaging Media Studies lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. Teach digital production, advertising, film analysis, and journalism. Support students in practical projects, including video production and social media content creation. Collaborate with your mentor and the wider department, participating in ongoing training and CPD. Lead extracurricular activities, such as film clubs, radio production, and media competitions. What We Are Looking For A Media Studies graduate with QTS (or working towards it). A strong interest in digital storytelling, film analysis, and multimedia production. A teacher who can make media engaging, relevant, and interactive. A collaborative and innovative educator who enjoys integrating new technologies into teaching.
