The Role As a SEN Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the diverse needs of students with special educational needs. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel safe, inspired, and eager to learn. Assess and track progress, providing constructive feedback to support student development and individual learning goals. Collaborate with support staff, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement effective learning strategies. Foster independence and self-confidence in students, preparing them for the next stage in their learning journey. Work closely with colleagues to share ideas, best practices, and contribute to the wider school community. Engage in professional development, with excellent mentoring for ECTs and career progression for experienced teachers. What We’re Looking For A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience or a strong passion for teaching students with special educational needs. A solid understanding of the National Curriculum and effective strategies for supporting SEN students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents. A proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to classroom teaching. A commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to learn from experienced colleagues.
