Job description
DT Teacher – Champion Innovation in Product Design and Advanced CAD/CAM Techniques – Tower Hamlets A popular secondary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a skilled and experienced DT Teacher with a specialization in Product Design and modern materials from January 2026. DT Teacher required from January 2026 Tower Hamlets-based school with excellent, well-equipped workshops. Ideal for a teacher with hands-on expertise in CAD/CAM and resistant materials. You will teach Design and Technology across KS3, with a focus on delivering high-quality GCSE and BTEC units in Product Design. The role requires a strong commitment to workshop safety and the ability to inspire creative, practical projects. Experience and Qualifications Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) and a relevant qualification in Design Technology or Engineering. Practical experience with specialist workshop machinery and tools. Proven ability to manage a safe and productive workshop environment. Willingness to run technical clubs and design challenges. School Information The DT department is heavily invested in and boasts multiple dedicated workshops (resistant materials and textiles). The team is collaborative and focuses on cross-curricular project work. Exceptional workshop facilities and a dedicated technician team. Strong focus on practical attainment and vocational pathways.
