About the School A highly regarded independent 11–18 school in Somerset is seeking an engaging and innovative Food Technology Teacher to join their Technology Faculty from January 2026. The school has around 850 pupils, including 180 in the Sixth Form, and enjoys a strong reputation for academic excellence, pastoral care, and enrichment opportunities. The Food Technology Department is central to the school’s emphasis on health, wellbeing, and sustainability. About the Role This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to teach Food Preparation and Nutrition across KS3–KS5. You will deliver practical, hands-on lessons designed to develop cooking skills, nutritional awareness, and understanding of global food systems. You will also lead enrichment activities such as cooking clubs, healthy eating initiatives, and charity events. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art kitchens and digital demonstration technology. Students regularly achieve excellent examination outcomes, with many progressing into hospitality and nutrition-related fields.
