Job description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Science Teacher to join one of Birmingham’s leading 11–18 secondary schools from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position within a thriving, high-performing and exceptionally well-resourced Science Faculty. The school warmly welcomes applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) alongside more experienced practitioners. • Science Teacher required – full-time, permanent • Outstanding 11–18 school in Birmingham • Teach Science across KS3–KS4, with potential for KS5 specialism • January 2026 start • Exceptional support for ECTs, including mentoring, reduced timetable and bespoke induction About the Role The school is seeking a passionate, reflective and ambitious Science Teacher capable of delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4. You will join a dynamic department committed to academic excellence, collaborative planning and innovative teaching practices grounded in investigative science. ECTs will benefit from a carefully structured induction programme, supportive leadership and excellent opportunities for personal and professional growth. You will be encouraged to develop your specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics , with scope to take on KS5 teaching as your confidence grows. Lessons are designed to promote scientific enquiry, critical thinking, practical investigation and strong conceptual understanding — skills that lie at the heart of the school’s science curriculum.
