Job description
Physics Teacher – Full Time – January 2026 Start Full-time Physics role available from January 2026 Lead and inspire the Physics department in a high-achieving selective school setting Join a school committed to academic excellence, individual student development, and a supportive ethos We are seeking an exceptional and dynamic Head of Physics to lead a forward-thinking and ambitious department. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and develop a Physics curriculum that challenges and inspires students aged 11-18, ensuring excellent academic outcomes and fostering a passion for the subject. The successful candidate will be joining a school known for its rigorous academic standards, traditional teaching methods complemented by innovative approaches, and a strong commitment to the holistic development of every student. The school places great emphasis on personalised learning and support for mental and emotional wellbeing, creating an environment where students thrive both academically and personally. Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and develop the Physics department to deliver outstanding teaching and learning Inspire students to excel in Physics across KS3, KS4, and Sixth Form Implement a range of teaching approaches including whole-class, group work, and personalised learning Candidate Requirements: Strong leadership skills with experience managing a successful Physics department Proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching in Physics at KS3 to A Level School Information: Selective academy school for boys aged 11-18 in Essex Emphasis on academic rigour alongside student wellbeing Outstanding track record in student progress and holistic development Supportive and collaborative working environment If you are interested in this exciting leadership opportunity, please forward your CV as soon as possible.
