Job description
An ambitious, fast-improving mainstream secondary school in Luton is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join their team this January. This is a school that invests heavily in teaching quality, behaviour structures, and whole-school consistency, making it an excellent environment for both experienced teachers and ECTs. The Science Department is undergoing exciting growth, with new curriculum initiatives, upgraded laboratories, and a renewed focus on practical science. You will be teaching General Science across KS3 and KS4 , with opportunities to deliver your specialism at KS5 . The team works collaboratively, sharing resources and driving high standards across all key stages. Science enjoys growing popularity at this school, and the department regularly participates in STEM competitions, enrichment days, outings to science centres, and cross-curricular projects. The school encourages teachers to be creative, research-driven, and willing to contribute to extra-curricular activities. The school adopts a strong behaviour system that reduces low-level disruption and ensures teachers can focus on excellent teaching rather than classroom management.
