Job description
Year 1 Teacher – Primary School, Harrow Start Date: January 2026 Contract: Permanent, Full-Time An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join our primary school in Harrow. We are looking for a dynamic professional to inspire and support our pupils as they continue their educational journey in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Our school is committed to providing high-quality teaching and fostering a love of learning in every child. The Role The successful candidate will: Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons for Year 1 pupils. Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment. Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development. Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to maintain a collaborative school community. Contribute to wider school life, including extra-curricular activities and school events. Candidate Profile We are looking for a motivated and inspiring teacher who: Holds QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications. Has experience teaching at Key Stage 1, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum. Demonstrates excellent classroom management and a commitment to safeguarding. Is passionate about fostering the personal and academic development of young children. Thrives in a collaborative environment and actively contributes to the school’s ethos and values.
