Job description
An Outstanding-rated secondary school in Salisbury is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join its highly successful department. This is an excellent opportunity to teach in a high-performing school where the arts are genuinely valued, students are motivated, and standards of behaviour and achievement are exceptionally high. The Role You will teach Music across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to contribute to KS5 depending on experience and departmental need. The role centres on delivering engaging, well-structured lessons in performance, composition, listening, and music theory, while building students’ confidence and musical understanding. Key responsibilities include: Planning and delivering high-quality Music lessons aligned with the curriculum Teaching performance, composition, appraisal, and theory Supporting individual practice and ensemble work Assessing progress and providing clear, constructive feedback Contributing to choirs, bands, ensembles, concerts, and whole-school productions Playing an active role in the wider musical and cultural life of the school The School Environment This Outstanding school in Salisbury is recognised for its calm, purposeful learning environment and consistently excellent outcomes.
