Job description
A thriving and well-regarded secondary school in Oxford is seeking an organised and proactive Admissions Officer to join its administrative team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in managing the admissions process within a structured and high-performing school environment. The school prides itself on strong communication with families, efficient systems, and a welcoming ethos for new pupils joining the community. Key Responsibilities Managing the admissions process from enquiry through to enrolment Liaising with parents, carers, and external agencies Coordinating open events, transition days, and induction arrangements Maintaining accurate pupil records using the school’s MIS system Ensuring compliance with local authority and statutory admissions procedures Producing reports and supporting senior leadership with admissions data The Ideal Candidate Will Have Previous experience in a school admissions or administrative role Strong knowledge of admissions procedures and data management Experience using school MIS systems (e.g. SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom) Excellent organisational and communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information A professional, proactive, and approachable manner This thriving secondary school in Oxford is known for its supportive leadership, strong academic standards, and positive working culture.
