Job description
Premises Manager – Secondary School in Wandsworth – ASAP Start! A well-regarded secondary school in Wandsworth is seeking an experienced and proactive Premises Manager to join the school as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to take responsibility for the safe, secure, and efficient management of a busy school site within a supportive and professional environment. The school prides itself on high standards, strong leadership, and a well-maintained learning environment. The Premises Manager will play a key role in ensuring the site operates smoothly on a daily basis. Key Responsibilities Overseeing the day-to-day management, maintenance, and security of the school site Carrying out routine health & safety checks, including fire alarms and emergency lighting Ensuring statutory compliance and maintaining accurate site records Managing contractors and supervising site-related projects Coordinating repairs, maintenance works, and minor improvement projects Supporting school events and occasional out-of-hours site requirements The Ideal Candidate Will Have Previous experience as a Premises Manager, Site Manager, or Caretaker Strong knowledge of health & safety and compliance regulations Practical maintenance and DIY skills The ability to prioritise workload and respond effectively to site issues Strong organisational and communication skills A reliable, professional, and proactive approach This secondary school in Wandsworth offers a supportive leadership team, structured systems, and a positive working culture.
