Job description
We are currently seeking a dynamic, energetic and motivated PE Teacher to join a well-regarded and ambitious secondary school in Hampshire. This full-time, permanent post begins January 2026, offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a thriving PE Department within a school that places exceptional value on health, fitness and student development. About the PE Department • Expansive indoor and outdoor sports facilities including sports hall, gym, pitches and courts • A varied curriculum that covers invasion games, athletics, fitness, dance, gymnastics and outdoor education • Popular extra-curricular provision with sports clubs, inter-house competitions and regional fixtures • Strong departmental support and mentoring for professional growth • Opportunity to contribute to Duke of Edinburgh and whole-school initiatives About the Role • Teaching PE across KS3–KS4 with opportunities for KS5 for suitable candidates • Planning and delivering engaging, challenging and inclusive lessons • Leading or supporting a range of sports teams and after-school clubs • Taking a proactive role in promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles • Ensuring safe practice, high expectations and excellent student participation • Contributing to whole-school events, sports days and enrichment programmes Experience and Qualifications • Degree in a sports-related discipline • PGCE with QTS • Strong coaching background and practical skills across multiple sports • Ability to motivate students of all abilities • Strong classroom management and communication skills Salary MPS/UPS.
