Job description
Location: Sutton Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to Scale A high-performing 11–18 grammar school in Sutton is seeking a motivated and dedicated Science ECT to join their exceptional Science Department this January. About the Science Department The Science Faculty is large, specialist, and highly collaborative, comprising subject experts in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The department places a strong emphasis on practical investigation and scientific enquiry, supported by excellent facilities and a skilled team of technicians. As an ECT, you will be supported with team-teaching opportunities, shared planning, and weekly developmental mentoring sessions to help you establish strong classroom practice. The Role • Teach Science across KS3–KS4 (KS5 opportunities available later) • Deliver practical, experiment-led lessons that inspire curiosity • Work collaboratively on planning, assessments, and enrichment activities • Contribute to STEM clubs, competitions, and wider school life Requirements • ECT specialising in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics route) • Strong subject knowledge across KS3–KS4 combined science • A genuine passion for delivering high-quality science education Application: If you are interested, please send your CV as soon as possible.
