Job description
A vibrant Mixed School in Dartford is seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Food Technology Teacher for a full-time, permanent position. We are looking for an educator who can bring the past to life for our students and foster a critical understanding of historical events and their significance. About Our Learning Community: Our school provides a welcoming and inclusive environment for students from diverse backgrounds. The Food Technology department is committed to delivering a rich and varied curriculum that encourages historical inquiry and develops students' analytical skills About the Role: Deliver engaging and well-planned Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a range of historical periods and themes. Develop and implement stimulating lesson plans that incorporate a variety of teaching methodologies, including discussion, research, and source analysis. Assess student progress through essays, presentations, and historical investigations, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey. Contribute to departmental meetings and participate in the development of the Food Technology curriculum. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Food Technology. A strong knowledge of the secondary Food Technology curriculum and effective teaching strategies. Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to make Food Technology & RE relevant and engaging for students. A passion for historical inquiry and the development of students' critical thinking skills. Benefits: Competitive pro-rata salary (MPS/UPS + Outer London Weighting) commensurate with experience.
