Job description
A key role for a Teacher of Biology is available at an Outstanding-rated school in Brent, starting January 2026. This is a full-time, fixed-term contract (Maternity Cover) ideal for an experienced teacher seeking a temporary but rewarding post. Responsibilities The Teacher of Biology will deliver high-quality instruction in Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (GCSE), with specialist delivery of Biology at Key Stage 5 (A-Level). The teacher is responsible for driving high attainment and promoting advanced theoretical understanding and investigative skills. They must lead engaging sessions focused on practical scientific methodologies. The Teacher of Biology is expected to cover all duties relevant to the fixed-term post and contribute to high academic outcomes. Requirements Holds or is soon to obtain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Has the right to work in the UK. Holds a Degree or has experience teaching Science/Biology.
