Job description
Overview: Our prestigious independent school in Bexley is seeking a highly skilled and motivated School Business Manager to join their leadership team from January 2026. This is an exceptional opportunity to oversee the financial, administrative, and operational aspects of a well-established independent school known for academic excellence and a supportive learning environment. Role Responsibilities: Manage the school's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting Oversee HR functions, including recruitment, payroll, and staff development Ensure compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, and statutory regulations Develop and implement policies to enhance operational efficiency Collaborate closely with the Headteacher and Governors to support strategic planning Requirements: Proven experience as a School Business Manager or in a senior school administration role Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets in an educational setting Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills Ability to work proactively and manage multiple priorities effectively Understanding of independent school structures and Ofsted-related compliance Why Join This School: This Bexley-based independent school prides itself on delivering outstanding education, fostering a culture of respect, and providing a safe and nurturing environment for students.
