Job description
An outstanding school in Oxford is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join its successful Science department from April 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to teach motivated pupils in a high-performing, well-structured environment where academic excellence and positive behaviour are firmly embedded. Science is a core strength of the school, with strong outcomes across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics and a clear focus on high-quality teaching and learning. The Role Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 depending on specialism and experience Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons Supporting pupils with practical work, investigations, and exam preparation Encouraging scientific enquiry, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills Working collaboratively within a supportive and well-resourced Science department Contributing to enrichment activities and the wider life of the school The Ideal Candidate Will Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) A degree in a Science subject or a closely related field Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics High expectations for pupil engagement, behaviour, and progress A professional, organised, and positive teaching approach School Information This outstanding school in Oxford is known for its excellent academic results, exemplary pupil behaviour, and strong leadership team.
