Job description
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join a supportive and friendly primary school in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Key Stage 1 practitioner to inspire pupils as they transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage into more structured learning. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching across the Year 1 curriculum, creating engaging lessons that develop literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum skills. You will foster a nurturing and structured classroom environment where pupils feel confident, supported, and motivated to succeed. Assessment will be central to your practice. You will track progress, identify gaps, and plan targeted interventions to ensure all pupils, including those with SEND or EAL, achieve their full potential. You will collaborate closely with teaching assistants and Key Stage 1 colleagues to ensure continuity and consistency across the year group.
