Job description
A respected independent school in Hampshire is seeking a reliable and technically confident IT Technician to join their support team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a professional, well-resourced school environment where technology plays a central role in both teaching and administration. The Role You will provide first- and second-line IT support to staff and students, ensuring systems run smoothly and technical issues are resolved efficiently. The role is hands-on and varied, supporting day-to-day operations as well as contributing to longer-term improvements in IT provision. Key responsibilities include: Providing responsive IT support across the school Troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues Supporting classroom and office technology, including laptops, desktops, printers, and interactive screens Managing user accounts, devices, permissions, and basic network access Assisting with system updates, backups, and routine maintenance Supporting data protection, cybersecurity, and safeguarding procedures Liaising with external IT providers where required Maintaining accurate records of equipment, faults, and resolutions The School Environment This independent school in Hampshire is known for its high standards, strong pastoral care, and calm working environment.
