Job description
A friendly and inclusive primary school in Gravesend is seeking a passionate Year 1 Teacher to join their team from January 2026 . This is a full-time, permanent role offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on children at a pivotal stage in their learning journey. The school prides itself on high-quality teaching, inclusion, and supporting the whole child . The successful candidate will join a supportive and collaborative team , delivering engaging lessons and fostering a love of learning in Key Stage 1. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Year 1 lessons across the curriculum Support pupils’ literacy, numeracy, and personal development with a focus on progress and confidence Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and next steps Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure the highest standards of teaching Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support learning and wellbeing Participate in school events, professional development, and extracurricular activities About the School This Gravesend primary school is known for its inclusive ethos, strong leadership, and commitment to pupil development .
