Job description
A growing secondary school in Scunthorpe is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Geography ECT to join its supportive Humanities department from January 2026. Geography is a valued subject at the school, with a clear curriculum that emphasises real-world relevance, enquiry and skill development. The Role You will teach Geography across KS3 and KS4 , supported by experienced colleagues and shared planning. The role includes: Delivering lessons across physical and human geography Supporting GCSE preparation using established resources Developing confidence with classroom management and routines Participating in department planning and reflection Supporting enrichment such as fieldwork or geography clubs ECT Development Dedicated Geography mentor Reduced timetable and structured induction Regular coaching and observation cycles Support with behaviour, assessment and workload management The School Good Ofsted rating Consistent behaviour expectations Strong pastoral systems Supportive and visible leadership This role suits a Geography ECT who wants a calm, well-structured start to their career.
