Job description
History Teacher required January 2026 Good mixed school based in Bishop’s Stortford History Teacher to join a strong and creative Humanities department Our Client is looking for a History Teacher to work within a successful mixed secondary school in Bishop’s Stortford. The successful candidate will teach KS3 & KS4, with opportunities to contribute to GCSE curriculum planning. School Information This 11–18 school serves around 1,200 students and has consistently strong academic performance, with 95% achieving grades 9–4 in English and Maths. The History department is well-equipped with digital learning resources and engages students through project-based learning and debate. Teachers describe the school as aspirational, collaborative, and nurturing. Leadership maintains a clear focus on staff development and provides regular opportunities for professional learning and advancement.
