Job description
Music Teacher – SEN School – Bournemouth – September Start Location: Bournemouth Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance An enthusiastic and compassionate Music Teacher is required for a highly regarded SEN school in Bournemouth. Your Role as a Music Teacher: • Deliver engaging and inclusive music lessons to students with a range of special educational needs. • Foster a love of music by teaching a variety of skills, from performance and composition to music theory. • Adapt your teaching methods to suit the diverse learning needs of students, using creative strategies to encourage participation. • Support students in developing their musical talents and confidence through individual and group sessions. • Lead and participate in extracurricular activities, such as school concerts and music clubs. Who We’re Looking For: • A qualified Music Teacher with QTS and experience working in an SEN setting or with students who have additional needs. • Strong musical knowledge with the ability to teach a wide range of musical styles. • A creative, flexible, and patient teaching approach, with a passion for engaging students in music. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. • Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one).
